The Prevalence of High-Risk Human Papillomavirus in Hungary-A Geographically Representative, Cross-Sectional Study
Conclusion: Our study provides the first geographically representative genotype-specific hrHPV prevalence baseline database in Hungary to support policy-making efforts. Significant correlations with demographic data have transferable conclusions.PMID:35783359 | PMC:PMC9240187 | DOI:10.3389/pore.2022.1610424

Case Report: Intra-Tumoral Vaccinations of Quadrivalent HPV-L1 Peptide Vaccine With Topical TLR-7 Agonist Following Recurrence: Complete Resolution of HPV-HR-Associated Gynecologic Squamous Cell Carcinomas in Two Patients
Pathol Oncol Res. 2021 Dec 20;27:1609922. doi: 10.3389/pore.2021.1609922. eCollection 2021.ABSTRACTThe human papilloma virus (HPV) high-risk variants (HPV-HR) such as HPV16 and HPV18 are responsible for most HPV related cancers, including anogenital and head and neck cancers. Here, we present two patients with HPV-HR-associated gynecological malignancies who, after failing radiation therapy, were treated with experimental salvage immunotherapy regimen resulting in complete, durable responses in both patients. Each patient was diagnosed with recurrent, radiation-refractory, HPV-HR positive, squamous cell carcinoma of the lo...

Nationwide Prevalence and Genotype Distribution of High-Risk Human Papillomavirus Infection in China
CONCLUSIONS: Nationwide hrHPV genotyping results from KingMed laboratories offer a baseline for measuring the future impact of large-scale HPV vaccination. High hrHPV infection rates in older (≥50 years) Chinese women likely reflect the limited extent of cervical screening in China. High rates of hrHPV infection and variable regional hrHPV genotype distribution may represent limiting factors for cost-effective implementation of hrHPV-based cervical screening in China.PMID:34724029 | DOI:10.1093/ajcp/aqab181
